Dots and Boxes is a compact strategy game in which a line can matter more than it first appears. Players connect neighbouring dots, and completing the fourth side of a box claims it for a point and an extra turn. Early in the board, several moves may look equally safe. Later, a single line can open a chain of boxes for the other player. The 3D presentation keeps the structure clear while the interesting part remains the changing relationship between small local choices and the whole board.

Count the sides around a box before placing a line. Giving an opponent an easy fourth side can also give them another turn, so the consequence may extend beyond one point. As the board becomes crowded, look for connected chains rather than judging each empty edge alone. Sometimes every remaining move gives something away; the useful question becomes which choice controls the size of that giveaway. Thinking one turn ahead is a good place to start.
