Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 22, 2026

At Playtura ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by Worklage, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe gaming experience for all users. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use our gaming application ("Playtura" or the "App"). Playtura offers 50+ games across Puzzle, Action, Arcade, and Strategy genres — free to play with optional premium subscriptions available. The app also includes community features such as sharing drawings and posts, global leaderboards, and user profiles. Playtura is designed for users of all ages and provides engaging entertainment for everyone. We comply with applicable privacy laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and other relevant frameworks.

This Privacy Policy applies to data collected through the Playtura mobile application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. By downloading, installing, or using Playtura, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to provide our gaming services and improve your experience. This includes:

  • Basic profile information (username, email address) provided during account creation via Google or Apple sign-in
  • Game progress, scores, and leaderboard data
  • Device information (device type, operating system, app version, screen resolution)
  • Analytics data to improve game performance and user experience
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android) for serving ads
  • IP address (collected automatically by our ad and analytics partners)
  • Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, and engagement with advertisements)
  • Subscription and purchase status (managed by Apple/Google and RevenueCat)

All information is collected transparently and with your consent. You can manage your data preferences in the app settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Providing and maintaining game functionality for all 50+ free games
  • Creating and managing your gaming profile
  • Tracking game progress, scores, and achievements
  • Displaying global leaderboards and competitive features
  • Enabling community features (posts, drawings, comments)
  • Moderating user-generated content and enforcing community guidelines
  • Improving game performance and user experience through analytics
  • Providing customer support and technical assistance
  • Delivering relevant advertisements to support the free gaming experience
  • Managing premium subscription status and entitlements
  • Processing subscription restoration across devices
  • Preventing fraud, abuse, and enforcing our Terms of Use

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we process your personal data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Consent: For personalized advertising, analytics tracking, and App Tracking Transparency (ATT) on iOS. You may withdraw consent at any time through your device settings or in-app preferences.
  • Contract Performance: To provide the gaming services you requested, manage your account, process subscriptions, and maintain leaderboards.
  • Legitimate Interest: For app security, fraud prevention, service improvement, and serving non-personalized ads. We balance our interests against your rights and freedoms.
  • Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or valid legal processes.

3. Advertising and Third-Party Services

Playtura uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, including banner ads, interstitial ads, and native ads. AdMob is provided by Google LLC and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Google AdMob may collect and process the following data to serve and optimize advertisements:

  • Device advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID / IDFA)
  • IP address and general (non-precise) location derived from IP
  • Device information (model, OS version, screen size, language, time zone)
  • Ad interaction data (views, clicks, conversions)
  • App usage data relevant to ad targeting and frequency capping

Personalized and Non-Personalized Ads

By default, Google AdMob may serve personalized ads based on your interests, app usage, and advertising identifier. If you prefer not to receive personalized ads, you can:

  • On iOS: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking to manage app tracking permissions
  • On Android: Go to Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
  • Reset your advertising identifier at any time through your device settings
  • Subscribe to Playtura Premium for a completely ad-free experience

When personalized ads are disabled, Google will serve non-personalized ads that are based on contextual information (such as the content of the app) rather than your personal data.

EU/EEA/UK User Consent

For users in the European Union, European Economic Area, and the United Kingdom, we comply with the Google EU User Consent Policy. Before serving personalized ads, we will obtain your explicit consent through a consent management dialog. You may update your consent preferences at any time through the app settings. If consent is not granted, only non-personalized ads will be displayed.

Other Third-Party Services

In addition to Google AdMob, Playtura integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

We do not sell your personally identifiable information to any third party. Data shared with third-party services is limited to what is necessary for their functionality.

4. In-App Purchases and Subscription Data

Playtura offers optional premium subscriptions ("Playtura Premium") through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We use RevenueCat as our subscription management platform to handle purchase validation and subscription status. The following data may be collected and processed in connection with subscriptions:

  • Subscription status (active, expired, cancelled, in trial)
  • Purchase receipts (validated by Apple/Google via RevenueCat)
  • Subscription plan type (monthly or yearly) and renewal dates
  • Anonymous user identifier for cross-device subscription restoration

We do not collect or store your payment method details (credit card numbers, bank accounts, etc.). All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). RevenueCat receives only purchase receipts and subscription status information necessary to manage your entitlements.

5. Analytics and Performance

We use analytics services to understand how players interact with our games and to improve performance. This includes:

  • Game session duration and frequency
  • Popular games and features
  • Technical performance metrics (loading times, crashes)
  • General usage patterns and preferences

All analytics data is aggregated and anonymized. We do not track individual behavior across other apps or websites.

6. Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect precise location data or GPS coordinates
  • We do not access your contacts, photos, or other personal files
  • We do not record audio or video without explicit permission
  • We do not track browsing behavior outside of our app

To submit a verifiable consumer request, email us at hello@worklage.com with the subject "CCPA Request."

10. Account Deletion

You may delete your Playtura account and all associated data at any time. Account deletion is available through:

When you delete your account, we will permanently delete your profile information, game progress, leaderboard entries, community posts, drawings, and any other data associated with your account. This action is irreversible. Deletion will be completed within 30 days of your request. We may retain certain data for a limited period where required by law (such as for fraud prevention or legal compliance), and will clearly inform you if this applies.

Please note that deleting the app does not automatically delete your account. You must explicitly request account deletion through the methods above. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store before deleting your account.

11. Children's Privacy and COPPA Compliance

Playtura is designed as an all-ages gaming platform suitable for teens, adults, and families. We take children's privacy seriously and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations worldwide.
